After acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another 1 - 3 years.

Upon the fulfillment of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatric doctors have acquired thorough medical education with a main focus on problems pertaining to the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are skilled to treat concerns varying from normal afflictions for example, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are much more obscure for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have comprehensive surgical instruction which give them the expertise crucial to perform surgery on those complications that are ideally managed through surgical intervention.

Doctors at the Foot Institute also have a thorough knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs withstand as we walk, run or perform other activities. Having knowledge of biomechanics and gait abnormalities enables a Podiatrist to develop footwear and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and defend against many issues which the feet frequently encounter.
