Our doctors spend approximately a decade in education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to traditional medical school and numerous podiatry programs are located inside these academic institutions. Upon getting a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have received extensive medical training with an importance on problems concerning the feet and ankles. Foot Institute Doctors are qualified to address concerns varying from commonplace problems for instance, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are even more intricate including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have considerable surgical education which provide them the expertise needed to perform surgery on those problems that are ideally remedied through surgical intervention.

Doctors at the Foot Institute also have an extensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Having knowledge of biomechanics and gait deviations facilitates a Podiatric doctor to design shoes and orthotics that can bestow pain relief and prevent countless problems which the feet usually experience.
