Camrose Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Specialists here at The Foot Institute – Camrose specialize in the medical and surgical therapy of the foot and ankle. Our podiatrists put in approximately a decade in education, the first four years in undergrad studies to get a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to traditional medical school and a number of podiatry programs are located within these institutions. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another 1 to 3 years.

At the fulfillment of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have obtained encompassing healthcare training with a focus on complications involving the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are trained to deal with concerns ranging from simple problems for instance, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are more complicated for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have extensive surgical instruction which furnish them the practical experience required to perform surgical treatment on those troubles that are best managed through surgical treatment.

Our Doctors additionally have an extensive practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs withstand as we walk, run or carry out other activities. Realizing biomechanics and gait peculiarities enables a Foot doctor to create footwear and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and defend against countless issues which the feet regularly encounter.
