They devote approximately 10 years in learning, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the next 4 years in Medical School to receive a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles usual medical school and actually many podiatry training programs are located inside these schools. After securing a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatrists have received wide-ranging medical education with a concentration on complications pertaining to the feet and ankles. Foot Institute Doctors are skilled to manage concerns ranging from usual afflictions such as fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are much more challenging for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have comprehensive surgical education which provide them the experience necessary to perform surgical treatment on those problems that are ideally treated through surgical intervention.

Doctors at the Foot Institute additionally have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet undergo as we walk, run or carry out other activities. Having knowledge of biomechanics and gait abnormalities makes it easy for a Foot doctor to develop footwear and orthotics that can provide pain relief and defend against a large number of troubles which the feet generally encounter.
