Our doctors put in an average of ten years in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to achieve a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to get a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles general medical school and in point of fact various podiatry programs lie within these schools. Upon attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 to 3 years.

At the finalization of the internship or post degree residency, our Doctors have received extensive medical training with an emphasis on issues involving the ankles and feet. They are qualified to address complications ranging from simple problems like ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are even more perplexing for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have thorough surgical training which provide them the experience required to carry out surgery on those issues that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors also have an extensive knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs endure as we walk, run or perform other activities. Realizing biomechanics and gait irregularities enables a Podiatrist to develop shoes and orthotics that can bestow pain relief and protect against numerous issues which the feet regularly encounter.
