Foot Institute Doctors invest about 10 years in education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to usual medical school and in point of fact several podiatry programs are contained within these academic institutions. After attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 to 3 years.

Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have received thorough health care instruction with a concentration on concerns pertaining to the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are trained to address complications ranging from common ailments like fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are more challenging such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have extensive surgical education which provide them the experience necessary to conduct surgery on those problems that are best handled through surgical intervention.
