Camrose Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Specialists here at The Foot Institute – Camrose provide services for the surgical and medical therapy of the ankle and foot. Our doctors spend approximately a decade in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to get a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles standard medical school and in reality various podiatry training programs are contained within these institutions. Upon attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have received considerable medical training with a stress on concerns concerning the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are skilled to deal with concerns ranging from regular disorders for instance fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are much more complicated for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have extensive surgical training which provide them the expertise required to conduct surgical treatment on those troubles that are ideally treated through surgical intervention.

Doctors at the Foot Institute furthermore have a thorough knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet undergo as we walk, run or perform other activities. Understanding biomechanics and gait peculiarities empowers a Foot doctor to design footwear and orthotics that can offer pain relief and defend against countless conditions which the feet generally experience.
