Our podiatrists spend approximately a decade in education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to receive a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to regular medical school and as a matter of fact several podiatry programs lie within these institutions. After acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

Upon the finalization of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have acquired encompassing health care training with a concentration on problems concerning the feet and ankles. They are studied to address difficulties ranging from basic ailments like fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are far more perplexing including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have substantial surgical instruction which provide them the expertise essential to perform surgical treatment on those issues that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Foot Institute Doctors also have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet submit to as we walk, run or carry out other tasks. Knowing biomechanics and gait irregularities facilitates a Podiatrist to design shoes and orthotics that can bestow pain relief and avoid many conditions which the feet usually encounter.
