They spend approximately a decade in higher education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to get a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles conventional medical school and actually several podiatry training programs are located inside these schools. Upon securing a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for yet another one to three years.
