They put in about ten years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to receive a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to regular medical school and in fact many podiatry programs are located inside these institutions. After achieving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for yet another 1 to 3 years.

Upon the finalization of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have received comprehensive medical training with a concentration on concerns regarding the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are trained to treat concerns varying from simple disorders such as fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are a lot more perplexing such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
